FAMILY FARMS and SMALL BUSINESS OPERATIONS

I, Vic Roberts, have had hands on experience in agriculture as a one time small farmer and livestock producer. I believe it is in our national best interest to preserve our nation’s family farms and rural towns, along with small business operations.

I believe it is in the family farmers and small business operators best interest to abolish the
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Evidence indicates that NAFTA works to the advantage of the multinational business interests, through their ability to manipulate prices against producers in all three countries. I have information that leads me to believe that NAFTA is being used by four major U.S. packing houses to help them control livestock prices to their advantage. I suspect, when livestock producers try to refuse unacceptable prices, the packing houses simply supply their livestock needs from the other countries until the rebelling livestock producers are forced to accept their manipulated prices; the same tactic is used in all three countries. I believe a Congressional investigation is warranted.

I believe farm subsidies and tariffs are necessary because NAFTA and other “free trade” deals have caused a flood of imports produced by virtual slave labor, in areas where the environment is of little concern, making it impossible for our family farmers to compete while maintaining a decent standard of living. For our family farmers to even try to compete would mean a disastrous race to the bottom of the economic ladder for all concerned.

In order to protect our nation’s family farmers interests, we need a system of tariffs. Tariffs are taxes on imports which protect domestic industry, and also providing a source of national revenue; tariff’s equalize costs at our border’s edge.

The Washington puppet politicians do not intend to solve the farm income problem by offending their “global free trade” puppet masters. Puppet masters whose version of “global free trade” is, in reality, corporate managed trade that controls our basic freedom to make choices about our government’s management of our nation’s economy and commerce. The “global free traders” corporate managed global market place is simply a set of rules that benefit large multinational corporations, Wall Street bankers, and global financiers at the expense of consumers and democratic principles.

Under the corporate-managed “free trade” agreements democratic governments, and their people, lose more and more power to make important choices about health and safety, the environment, and labor conditions, indeed, their national sovereignty.

As if NAFTA has not done enough damage to our family farmers already, the Bush administration, and his Washington puppet politician cohorts, now are trying to expand NAFTA to include all of south America through their Free Trade Areas of the Americas agreement.

I believe in fair trade not free trade. Our nation’s trade laws should be written to protect our fair trade interests. We should put America’s economy before the interests of the organized wealth of the Wall Street bankers, global financiers and industrialists, the global financial Mafia collectively known as the New World Order, the evil empire Imperial Gods of the Global Economy, who virtually own our government, legally bought and paid for, via campaign contributions.

As a US Senator, I, Vic Roberts, would investigate our nation’s role in the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank; it appears to me that through these organizations our tax dollars are being used to subsidize the destruction of our nation’s family farms and small business operations. Also, I would investigate the value of using food embargoes as weapons against foreign countries. It appears to be grossly unjust to penalize American farmers, along with innocent foreign nationals, because our government disagrees with their government politically.

I favor enforcing antitrust laws to prevent the mega-mergers that are forcing vertical integration of American agriculture, which is creating a monopoly for the high-powered New World Order’s corporate interests. I believe it would be a good investment for us American taxpayers to help the family farmers and small business operators to become more competitive with the New World Order’s multinational corporations that fix prices by closed contracts, leverage trade deals, secure tax benefits and government subsidies that are unavailable to independent producers. Also, they often operate other branches of their empires at a loss until small competitors collapse.

The big money monopoly minded multinational corporate CEO’s, the Wall Street bankers, and global financiers of the New World Order are deliberately manipulating farm produce prices down, while increasing the farmers costs, thus bankrupting those farmers they can. This is being done for the purpose of them trading their owned and controlled counterfeit paper money (please visit my web page on Federal Reserve Bank Reform) for our agriculture resources, the true wealth of our nation. Also, they want to drive farm families off their farms, and into the nation’s labor pool, thereby depressing labor wages and work conditions-the same motive that is behind the New World Order controlled Washington puppet politician’s callous and tragic immigration policies (please visit my web page on Immigration).

The organized wealth of the global financial Mafia, the New World Order, has no qualms about disrupting American culture as their powers continue to swallow up America’s family farms through their contrived hideous farm crisis, a crisis that is growing ever more tragic for our nation’s family farmers; a crisis that is resulting in the New World Order’s evil empire becoming richer and more powerful.

The global financial Mafia, the New World Order, already controls our nation’s, and most of the world’s money, now they are taking control of the world’s food supply also. With their control of money and food resources the New World Order, those evil empire Imperial Gods of the Global Economy, have great leverage to use in their quest for their One World Government, which is being developed through their controlled United Nations organization (please visit my web page on the United Nations).

I, Vic Roberts, favor a policy of US energy independence, which includes a strong stand for ethanol, along with the development of other alternative fuels, as part of our nation’s national defense system. We should have, indeed, as a matter of national security, we must have intensive research and development for affordable alternative fuels that can be produced in this country. Our national interest is in great peril as long as the US continues to import 57% of its oil supplies, much of which is coming from potentially hostile nations. Also, the almost $11 billion dollars a month oil import cost is a major contributor to our nation’s staggering, colossal, and unsustainable annual trade deficit spending, a trade deficit that reached almost $445 billion in 2001 alone.

Indeed, I believe it would be a good national investment for our government to become a working partner with the American family farmer and small business operators, by insuring that their dreams and livelihoods are not buried beneath dumped imports, or plowed under by New World Order’s controlled multinational corporations; corporations which have no allegiance to anything other than profit dollars and power for their corporate masters, the organized wealth of the Wall Street bankers, global financiers and industrialists of the New World Order.

I, Vic Roberts, favor a ban on livestock grazing on public lands; if a ban is not attainable, then reasonable grazing fees should be paid to the US Treasury, by the 20,000 or so livestock producers who are using our nation’s 170 million acres of public federal rangeland; otherwise those producers having grazing rights are being subsidized (at the rate of $300 to $500 million a year) by taxpayers, many of whom are also livestock producers who have huge capitol investments in land and property taxes. Also, reasonable royalties should be paid to the US Treasury for minerals and other valuable assets taken from public lands by private business interests.

Your contribution to Vic Roberts for Senator is an investment toward a strong voice in the US Senate for improving conditions for our nation’s family farmers and small business operators. Your contribution is an investment toward political leadership for the common good of our citizens, and the general welfare of our great nation; representation for the demise of the New World Order’s evil empire.

In the words of a great lady, Mother Jones, "Let us pray for the dead but fight like hell for the living.”
